A grim discovery just steps from pop superstar Taylor Swift's Rhode Island mansion is drawing national attention.
Human remains were found in an upscale coastal neighborhood close to Swift's"Holiday House", where she hosts her famous Forth of July parties and A-list gatherings.

On Wednesday morning, police in Westerly, Rhode Island, responded to a call about human remains discovered in the exclusive Watch Hill neighborhood, just a third of a mile from Swift's $17.75 million beachside estate.
A leg bone was found off Everett Avenue along a coastal path leading to the water, according to reports from WJAR.
The area, a known hotspot for the pop star and her circle, which includes Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and celebrities like Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez, has now drawn national attention for much darker reasons.
The remains have been transferred to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner's Office for analysis.
Authorities say foul play is not currently suspected, but the discovery has fueled speculation online, as it marks the 13th case of human remains found across southern New England since March.
Bodies or body parts have turned up in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and now Rhode Island, intensifying fears about a potential serial killer operating in the region.
Despite the mounting speculation, former FBI agent Scott Duffey has cautioned against jumping to conclusions.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Duffey noted that authorities haven't provided enough information to either confirm or fully dismiss the idea of a serial killer.
"Nothing that I have seen would arise to a serial killer being responsible for any or most of these people who have been found," he said.
One case has led to an arrest: 68-year-old Donald Coffel was taken into custody in connection to the death of Suzanne Wormser in Connecticut.
She was found dismembered in a suitcase after what police said was a drug-related dispute.
Coffel died in custody last Friday.
While the investigation in Watch Hill continues, the beachside community, normally a peaceful summer haven for celebrities and vacationers, now finds itself under an unsettling spotlight.
